Working on this blog about female bodybuilders and the side effects of steroid
use has taught me a lot. I learned how powerful these substances can be, not
just physically but emotionally and mentally too. It opened my eyes to the
pressure many women in the fitness world face to meet extreme standards and how
those choices can impact their health over time. I also learned the importance
of doing proper research and backing up my ideas with facts.
What I enjoyed most was being able to express my opinions and explore a topic that really interests me. I liked combining health, fitness, and beauty in a way that made me think differently. The visual parts of the blog, like adding pictures and creating a TED Talk-style video, were fun and helped bring the topic to life. If I could change anything, I would probably spend more time organizing my ideas before writing. Sometimes I felt rushed, and I think that made it harder to say exactly what I wanted. One of my biggest challenges was finding the right balance between being informative and not sounding too negative about steroid use. Tanya Bunsell's August 21, 2014 By Jack Grove
Moving forward, I’d like to explore more topics related to beauty and health in
the fitness world. I want to keep learning and maybe even create a new blog
series that focuses on natural bodybuilding and healthy alternatives. This
project made me realize how much I enjoy using my voice to educate and bring
awareness to topics that matter.
For my last post I wanted to add this fun video for everyone to enjoy but be warned some of the content is for adults only.
